recently I have used AWS LB for the web app and faced the issue like " Load Balancer not getting ready, shows 0 of 1 instances in service "
What I did
I have deployed my application in tomcat. I have deleted index.html because my app running on another subdirectory.
Hence if I hit my server in port 80 it will return the 404 page.
while creating the LB it would ask the health check page and port.
I have added instances to LB and added proper SSL certificates and all.
still, LB not up.....
Solution
Then I have added index.html in tomcat > myapp.. That's it LB up and working fine Because it's health check the port 80. No matter what page we need or not Load Balancer need port 80 response to tell you that your App working fine and shine. :)
